If it didn’t matter, there would be no need for experience; there’d be no need for advice; there’d be no need for coaches, or mentors, or those who have been here or there and done this or that.
And, someday there’d be no need for you and what you have to pass on to the next and the next generation.
All there would be are those who think they know everything, and who may know little or nothing.
Consequently, ‘Gray Matters’ and it keeps on mattering, and mattering.
Respect the wisdom, the insights and the paths traveled by those who wear gray. And someday, when you are gray (but not old), offer your gray matter to someone who is like you were, a decade or a generation ago. And, here is one suggestion to save your precious time, just make sure it is offered to someone who is willing to listen to what you have to say. Everyone will win: You, for having received the gift to pass on the knowledge that you have, and your listeners, who now know what they needed to know.
A magnificent multiplier takes place whenever one who is gray advises those who are without gray matter, and when those who receive such advice, in time, offer their gray advice to those who seek it.
And on and on it goes; thus gray matters most when the collective gray is at work. One gray begets another gray, and together they expand like ripples moving across a pond. Then the combined gray becomes a light that reflects off the ripples, and the more that increased light shines, the more the world benefits.
In fact, there really is no black or white. All that really exists is gray that turns darkness into light, and for
that reason alone, GRAY MATTERS.
